A Bidvest Wits star has opened up on the frustration of not knowing what will happen as they continue to await official word regarding the way forward.
It has been nearly three months since the Premier Soccer League last issued official statements on the impact the current Covid-19 pandemic is having on football.
Clubs and players have retreated to their homes in abiding by the government’s lockdown regulations, and have resorted to training in isolation and through online Zoom sessions.
Wits defender Buhle Mkhwanazi says the lack of official updates regarding their potential return to group training, particularly after government’s announcement last week, has left them somewhat agitated.
“I just can’t wait for us to know what’s happening, because even now we’re not sure on when we’re going back, and already two months have passed,” Mkhwanazi said during an interview with the SA Football Journalists’ Association.
